Privacy Policy
We believe privacy is a product decision, not a footnote. This policy explains how Claude Ltd handles information across our apps, website, and support services.
Effective 31 August 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to software, websites, and support services provided by Claude Ltd. An individual app may include a more specific privacy notice where its features require additional explanation. In that case, the app-specific notice supplements this policy.
2. Information you provide
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device or app details, and the contents of your message. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not necessary to resolve your request.
3. App data
Our apps are designed to minimise data collection. The exact practices for each app are described in its App Store privacy label and, where applicable, an in-app notice. Data that remains solely on your device is controlled by you through the app and your device settings.
4. Purchases and platform services
Purchases, subscriptions, downloads, crash reporting, and other platform features may be processed by Apple or another platform provider under their own privacy terms. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.
5. How we use information
- To provide support and respond to enquiries.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our apps.
- To diagnose technical issues and prevent misuse.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.
6. Sharing
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate our services, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public. Providers may process information only for the service they perform for us.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including support, security, accounting, or legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Children
Our general-audience services are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age required in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Email us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel where required.
